Get ready, Rhode Island — the drama is coming live.
Just days after Bravo officially confirmed The Real Housewives of Rhode Island, executive producer Andy Cohen is already raving about the new cast. In a recent interview with Page Six, Cohen called the RHORI cast “incredible” and hinted that fans of The Real Housewives of New Jersey might feel some familiar vibes.
“They are very Italian,” Cohen said. “Rhode Island is such a small state, and they all kind of know each other and overlap. It’s an incredible group of women who have really interesting connections. I think it’s going to really surprise people.”
Bravo’s official press release described the upcoming series as being rooted in “a tight-knit circle of Rhode Islanders who have deep community roots and families that go back generations.” Expect high-end lifestyles, decades-old friendships, tangled family drama — and nowhere to hide.
While Bravo hasn’t confirmed the official cast, rumors have been swirling for months. According to The Providence Journal, the rumored cast include Rosie Woods DiMare, Monique Pass, Elizabeth McGraw, Rulla Pontarelli, Jo-Ellen Tiberi, Alicia Carmody, Brianna LaTorre, Stephania Costa, and Kelsey Swanson. A teaser Instagram account has even showcased glamorous photos and the luxurious homes of several of the rumored Housewives.
Filming is set to begin this summer, and all signs point to a franchise that’s uniquely Ocean State — small state, big drama.
Stay tuned, Rhode Island. This one’s going to make waves.
