PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Armed robbery in Providence’s West End

Providence police are investigating an armed robbery that happened late Saturday night on Noyes Avenue in the city’s West End.

Officers were called to the scene around 10:30 p.m. after three males, one reportedly armed with both a pistol and a knife, confronted a group of people in a backyard and demanded their belongings.

Police said the suspects took phones, wallets, and jewelry. One of the suspects allegedly tried to stab a victim before all three took off on foot.

No arrests have been made as of Sunday. The investigation is ongoing.
