“Bike the Beach New England” raises nearly $300K for autism programs

NEWPORT, R.I. — Cyclists from across the region gathered at King’s Park last Saturday for the annual Bike the Beach New England ride, an event dedicated to raising awareness and support for autism programs.

Riders launched from starting points in Boston, Woonsocket, and Bristol, pedaling hundreds of miles before converging at the Newport finish line. Each mile represented thousands of dollars raised for local programs serving individuals with autism.

This year’s ride generated nearly $300,000, which will go directly to community partners and organizations that provide specialized services and support.

Bike the Beach Newport 2025:

Start times:
– Boston, M.A. (100 mi) @ 5 AM
– Woonsocket, R.I. (60 mi) @ 8 AM
– Bristol, R.I. (30 mi) @ 10 AM

Registration Fee: $100 [*Does not include the $250 Fundraising Min.]

  • Early: $100 (Until 4/26)
  • Priority: $125 (Until 5/24)
  • Standard: $150 (Until 8/29)
  • Late: $160 (Until 9/6)
  • Last Week: $175 (Until 9/12)

Mail Packet Fee: $10

At the finish line there were the following:

  • Finish line photo opp
  • Food & refreshments:  Beer tent and food trucks provided by Newport Craft.
  • Live Music
  • Resource Fair
