Meet our Dog of The Week, Beso!
Straight from the sunny shores of Puerto Rico, Beso (Spanish for “kiss”) is a 2-year-old Chihuahua mix who’s ready to charm his way into the right forever home. He’s got the spunk, the smarts, and a serious sense of humor, just don’t expect him to be the teacher’s pet on day one.

Beso is a little dude with big opinions, especially about leashes (aka his favorite tug toy). He loves to grab his leash during walks and play a dramatic game of keep away. It’s part mischief, part theater, and 100% Beso.
We tried him in a home with kids, and Beso made it very clear: he’s a grown-up only kind of guy. He’s seeking a patient, dog savvy family where he can polish up his manners and shine as the silly, loving companion he’s meant to be. If you love training challenges, leash games, and forming deep bonds with quirky little dogs, Beso might be your perfect match. He is up to date on vaccinations and has been neutered.
Heart of RI has adoption hours every Wednesday from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at 44 Worthington Road, Cranston, Rhode Island.
