PROVIDENCE, R.I. — A driver is facing DUI charges following a two-car crash that ended with one vehicle engulfed in flames Monday night in Providence.
The collision happened shortly before 7:00 p.m. at the intersection of Point Street and East Franklin Street, not far from the I-95 North and I-195 West ramps. Responding officers arrived to find one of the cars severely damaged and on fire.
Two people inside the burning vehicle were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the second vehicle was also injured in the crash.
