PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Hasbro Children’s has been ranked among best children’s hospitals in the U.S., according to a new study. The hospital stands out in pediatric endocrinology where it ranked 48th.
Newsweek has partnered with the market research firm Statista for the third consecutive year to produce its ranking of America’s Best Children’s Hospitals. The list highlights the nation’s top pediatric facilities across eight specialties, including cardiology and cardiac surgery, endocrinology, gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery, neonatology, neurology and neurosurgery, oncology, orthopedics, and pulmonology.
To compile the rankings, researchers drew on four key data sources: a nationwide survey of more than 10,000 medical professionals and hospital leaders, an evaluation of publicly available quality metrics, patient satisfaction data, and scores reflecting the use of patient-reported outcome measures.
Other New England children’s hospitals to make the list include, Mass General for Children, Boston Children’s Hospital, Dartmouth Health Children’s, and Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital.
Hasbro Children’s Hospital, located in Providence, Rhode Island, was established in 1994 as the state’s first full-service pediatric hospital. Named in recognition of a major philanthropic gift from the toy company Hasbro, the hospital was created to provide specialized care for children while supporting families throughout their treatment. Over the years, Hasbro Children’s has grown into a leading pediatric center, offering advanced care in areas such as cardiology, oncology, neurology, and surgery. The hospital is affiliated with Rhode Island Hospital and Brown University’s Alpert Medical School, combining clinical excellence with research and education to improve pediatric healthcare across the region.
