Judge Frank Caprio honorary pallbearer list revealed

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Rhode Island is preparing to honor Judge Frank Caprio, the “Nicest Judge in the World” whose compassion on Caught in Providence made him an international icon. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, 3 p.m. –7 p.m. at the Rhode Island Convention Center with free parking at the North Garage. His funeral mass will follow Friday at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, with a procession up Atwells Avenue and a private burial at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston.

The honorary pallbearer list consists of celebrities, political figures, sports legends, law enforcement, media icons, friends, and community members, a powerful testament to the breadth of Judge Caprio’s life and legacy.

    •    Celebrities & National Figures: Paula Abdul (pop star & TV personality), Santita Jackson (singer/activist, daughter of Rev. Jesse Jackson).

    •    Law Enforcement & Civic Leaders: Richard Fossa (Judge Caprio’s lifelong friend and former Mayor of North Providence), Brendan Doherty (former RI State Police Colonel), Armand Sabitoni (LIUNA), Michael J. Solomon (former Providence City Council president).

    •    Sports & Entertainment: Ernie DiGregorio (Providence College & NBA legend), Kevin Stacom (former Boston Celtics guard), Steven Feinberg (head of the RI Film & TV Office).
