PROVIDENCE, R.I. — As the Los Angeles Chargers settle into New England for their AFC Wild Card game against the Patriots, several players made a stop at one of Providence’s most well-known restaurants. On Friday night, members of the team were seen dining at Los Andes, a Peruvian and Bolivian eatery that is a favorite among locals.
The visit quickly drew attention from fans who happened to be in the restaurant, with players posing for photos and interacting with diners while enjoying a team meal. The outing offered a relaxed break from game preparation as the Chargers wrapped up their final days in town before Sunday’s playoff matchup in Foxborough.
Los Andes, located on Chalkstone Avenue, has built a reputation as a must-visit dining spot in Rhode Island, and the Chargers’ appearance added to the buzz. For many fans, it was an unexpected reminder that even during the intensity of the NFL postseason, teams still find time to experience the local flavor of the cities they visit.
The Los Angeles Chargers will take on the New England Patriots in an AFC Wild Card showdown Sunday night at 8:15 p.m. at Gillette Stadium, a highly anticipated playoff matchup after both teams finished the regular season strong.
