NEWPORT, R.I. — The Newport Festivals Foundation, the nonprofit behind the iconic Newport Jazz and Folk Festivals, has just announced the release of its first-ever official Rhode Island charity license plate.

The big reveal was shared on social media by the Newport Jazz Festival, calling it a major milestone for local music lovers. Proceeds from each plate will directly support the Foundation’s Free Music Lessons initiative, providing high-quality private music instruction to Rhode Island students at no cost.

A limited number of pre-order plates are now available for $42.50, with $20 from each sale going straight to the Foundation’s education programs. Once the pre-order cap is reached, the plates will only be available through the Rhode Island DMV.
