PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Providence Board of Licenses officially denied the request of Olneyville New York System for a Class BV liquor license (for restaurants serving alcohol with food) after a 3–2 vote.

The board did, however, approve their request to continue serving food from 1 am to 4 am.

The new owners, Heritage Restaurant Group also operate a Newport-based brewery and plan to feature their locally crafted beer at the Cranston location.
