PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Providence Friars picked up a much-needed home victory, knocking off the Creighton Bluejays after a strong second-half surge.
Providence placed five players in double figures and was led by a pair of freshmen. Stefan Vaaks poured in a game-high 24 points while adding seven assists, and Jamier Jones delivered a standout performance with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
