PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Three people are facing serious criminal charges after seven Providence College students were treated for suspected drug overdoses at an off-campus house party Friday night in Providence.
According to the Providence Police Department, first responders were called to a home on Liege Street, where seven students were suffering from apparent overdoses. All seven were administered Narcan and transported to area hospitals. Officials later confirmed the victims are students at Providence College.
Following the incident, detectives launched a narcotics investigation and identified a suspected drug supplier. A court-authorized search warrant was then executed at a residence on Hawkins Street, where three people were taken into custody and police seized:
• Three handguns (including one suspected ghost gun)
• Two assault-style rifles
• Approximately 20 grams of fentanyl
• About $1,700 in cash
Those Charged:
• Angel Williams, 33 – multiple firearms violations, drug trafficking charges involving fentanyl and cocaine, conspiracy charges, and ghost gun possession
• Patrick Patterson, 32 – multiple armed crime charges related to drug trafficking, conspiracy, firearms violations, and high-capacity magazine possession
• Kimsheree Simoneau, 33 – charged with possession of a ghost gun or 3D-printed firearm
Police say all seized weapons, narcotics, and cash were secured as evidence. The investigation remains ongoing.
