We here at What’s Going On in Rhode Island are deeply saddened by the tragic events that took place this past Saturday, December 13, at Brown University.

As many of you know, our passion has always been Rhode Island from Woonsocket to Westerly, from Burrillville to Barrington, and from Providence to Portsmouth and the people who make this state what it is. Our hearts and condolences go out to the victims, their families, and everyone affected by this horrific incident.

Being part of this community and sharing its stories, challenges, and moments of strength is one of the most meaningful parts of what we do. We truly appreciate everyone who has reached out with concern, support, and kindness during this difficult time.

Rhode Island is resilient. We are a small state with a big heart. We look out for one another, we show up for one another, and we heal together. Please continue to keep the Brown University community in your thoughts and remember to check in on those around you.
