Two female students reported to police that they were preparing to shower in a unisex bathroom in Adams Hall when a man entered. One of the students said she noticed the man occupying the shower stall next to hers, wearing sneakers and with the water turned off. When she looked up, she saw a cellphone pointed in her direction.

The affidavit also states that the victim confronted the man, who apologized and quickly left the scene.

James Paquette, 29, was later identified as the suspect and arrested on a felony charge of video voyeurism. Paquette is not affiliated with the university but is acquainted with one of the victims.

He was released on $2,000 personal recognizance and has been ordered to stay away from the campus. Paquette is scheduled to appear in court in July.
