LINCOLN, R.I. — Two adults from Providence were charged with felony cruelty/neglect of a child after police say they left children in a car at Bally’s Twin River Casino.

Lincoln police arrested Brenda Gonzalez, 45, and Wilfredo Urbina Delgado, 41, on Friday, May 23, following an investigation into reports of unsupervised children in the casino parking lot. Officers say they discovered a 7-year-old and an 11-year-old left alone in a vehicle while the two adults were gambling inside.

The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) was immediately contacted. The children were later released into the care of a family member.

Gonzalez was released on $20,000 personal recognizance. Delgado, though given the same bail, was held at the Adult Correctional Institutions as a bail violator.

Both are scheduled to appear in court on felony charges of cruelty or neglect of a child. 😳🎰🚗🃏🚔
