18-year-old Providence woman killed in I-195 crash

SEEKONK, M.A. — An 18-year-old woman from Providence was killed in a three-car crash late Sunday night on I-195 West, according to Massachusetts State Police.

The victim, identified as Abriana Herrera Perez, was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash happened around 11 p.m. and brought traffic to a standstill near the Rhode Island–Massachusetts border.

Five other individuals were taken to nearby hospitals with injuries.

All westbound lanes on I-195 were shut down overnight as emergency crews responded and cleared the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
