West Warwick residents got an unexpected visitor Friday morning — a black bear and her cub were seen wandering through town.

Police say the bears were spotted near Fairview Avenue and Wakefield Street. The department shared the sighting on social media, urging caution while they monitor the situation.

One of the photos circulating shows a local dog named Max approaching the cub — a reminder for pet owners to keep their animals leashed and safe.

📍 If you spot the bear, do not approach.
