Coventry police seek driver in hit-and-run crash that left person injured

COVENTRY, R.I. — Coventry police are asking for the public’s help as they work to identify the driver allegedly involved in a hit and run crash that left someone injured earlier this week.

According to a post shared by the Coventry Police Department, the incident happened on April 1 around 3:30 pm on Arnold Road near New London Turnpike.

Investigators say the vehicle involved is believed to be a blue or gray Kia Sportage, possibly a 2014 model, with out of state plates. The SUV is expected to have heavy front end damage and may have deployed airbags as a result of the crash.

Coventry police seek driver in hit-and-run

Police say the vehicle was last seen traveling on Gay Street and in the Centre of New England area and may have been heading toward Route 95.
