NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Three people were arrested after a fight between two families at a North Providence baseball field allegedly turned violent and left a teenage girl with a broken foot, according to police.
Investigators said officers responded to a disturbance involving multiple people and found that tensions between the families had escalated into a physical confrontation.
According to authorities, the dispute began last week when two girls, both minors, got into a fight at Ricci Middle School.
Police said the incident involved both adults and juveniles. During the altercation, one of the girls suffered a broken foot and required medical attention.
Authorities arrested three people in connection with the fight, including members of one of the families involved. The individuals, a mother, father, and their 15-year-old son, are facing charges tied to the disturbance.
The incident remains under investigation as police continue reviewing evidence and witness statements connected to the altercation.
Police are asking anyone who recorded the incident or has video footage related to the fight to provide it to investigators.
