Meet our Dog of the Week, Fletcher!
Fletcher has been with us since early May, and frankly, he’s decided he’s had enough of shelter life. He’s going full Neville Goddard: assume the wish is fulfilled. Live in the end.
In Fletcher’s mind, he’s already adopted.
He has a fenced yard. You’re throwing a ball. You’ve started referring to yourself as “Fletcher’s mom” during conversations where nobody asked. Your camera roll contains 4,000 pictures of him and one blurry photograph of an actual relative.
Fletcher is around 1.5 years old and 46 pounds of sweetness, fun, and enough energy to require an actual itinerary. He’s imagining adventures, playtime, and someone who sees a beautiful afternoon and says, “Let’s go do something.”
This boy has energy to burn and he needs someone who has time to help him use it. A fenced yard would be best, and he gets along with other high energy dogs who appreciate his enthusiasm. He’s already pictured a canine sibling sprinting around the yard with him while you stand there holding a coffee, wondering whether either of them has bones.
Kids eight and up would be fine. He’s mentally attending their sporting events. You’re explaining that he isn’t actually on the roster. He feels that’s a limiting belief.
But underneath all that fun energy is the softest face and the sweetest pair of eyes.
