PROVIDENCE, R.I. — A Cranston woman has filed a lawsuit against Brian Pontarelli, the husband of Rulla Pontarelli, accusing him of slander. escalating the ongoing legal and personal drama surrounding The Real Housewives of Rhode Island.

According to court filings, Beth Walker claims Pontarelli made false, “defamatory and disparaging”  comments about her while discussing an alleged affair that became a recurring storyline on the Bravo TV series.

The countersuit comes weeks after Pontarelli filed his own lawsuit accusing Walker of violating a confidentiality agreement tied to their alleged past relationship. Walker’s filing argues the agreement is unenforceable and claims Pontarelli and Rulla publicly discussed the situation through the television show, podcast appearances, and post-show interviews.

Court documents referenced in reports point specifically to comments made during Bravo-related appearances, including an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, where the affair allegations were openly discussed.

Walker is seeking unspecified damages, while no hearings in the case have reportedly been scheduled yet.
