WESTERLY, R.I. — Del’s Lemonade will return to its longtime summer location in Westerly after uncertainty surrounded the future of the popular stand at the site.

The owners of Del’s Lemonade of Westerly confirmed the frozen lemonade stand will once again operate from the former Benny’s parking lot on Post Road in Dunn’s Corners. The property was recently purchased by Ring’s End Lumber Supply, which had previously expected construction work at the site to already be underway.

Company representatives said those construction plans have not yet started, allowing Del’s to safely return for another summer season at the location.

News that Del’s might not return to the site sparked concern among local residents and longtime customers who consider the stand a seasonal tradition in the area. The location has remained a popular stop for both locals and visitors during the summer months.

The return means customers will once again be able to visit the stand at its familiar Dunn’s Corners location as the busy summer season begins.
