Meet our Dog of the Week: Hugo.
This hunk is still waiting for a forever home. He needs a hero and he really needs it soon! Please read the entire post to understand his story and his requirements. Hugo is the longest resident we have ever had.
Hugo was born on 8/7/20 and is a large mixed breed. He needs a very particular adopter and we are aware that it will be harder to find. He is looking for a single female home only. Unfortunately, he cannot under any circumstance be placed in a home with men (he has been ok with men in passing but is not ok living with one).
The reason we are requiring a single female home is because Hugo has had issues bonding with one human in the past. We are trying to remove any issue that would keep Hugo from being returned. He also requires a home without other animals or children. We realize that such a specific home is way harder to come by and that is why we are begging for help networking him. With all that said, Hugo is a smart dog who just needs to find the right person for him. Our team is 90% female and everyone that knows or has worked with Hugo here adores him. Going on adventures is one of his favorite things—long walks, car rides, and exploring new & quiet places make him the happiest. He is up to date on all of his vaccinations and has been neutered.
Heart of RI has adoption hours every Wednesday from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at 44 Worthington Road, Cranston, Rhode Island.
NOTE: What’s going on in Rhode Island is not responsible for Hugo and we do not have further information on him. Please contact Heart of RI directly for all questions.
Every Saturday we post Dogs of the Week, or a Dog of the Week to find a forever home/homes, so please keep checking back in to find yourself a new best friend.
