Meet of our Dogs of the Week, Lila and Bertie!

We know these puppies look like twins and we promise you aren’t seeing double. Lila has a white marking on her nose and chin (which is pretty much the only way we can tell them apart). These sisters are 3 months old and they are looking for individual forever homes. They currently weigh about 20lbs and our guess is that they will weigh around 40-50lbs when they are finished growing (it’s always an estimate when we don’t have either parent as a size reference or a confirmed breed break down).

They are both very social and love to be around people. They are full of fun puppy energy but are just as happy to curl up on your lap for a long nap. Whether they are bouncing around with toys, making new friends, or settling in for some snuggles, they are just happy to be by your side. They are at the perfect age where they are ready to learn, bond deeply with their new families, and grow into the most loyal companions imaginable. With continued structure, training, love, and guidance, Lila and Bertie are going to blossom into amazing companions. They are both up to date on age appropriate vaccinations.

he Heart of RI has adoption hours every Wednesday 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at 44 Worthington Road, Cranston. You can view all of their policies, procedures, fees and other adoptable animals at HeartofRl.org.

NOTE: What’s going on in Rhode Island is not responsible for Lila and/or Bertie, and we do not have further information on them. Please contact Heart of RI directly for all questions.

Every Saturday, we post a Dog of the Week or Dogs of the Week to help them find a forever home. Be sure to check back regularly to find your new best friend.
