Meet our Dog of the Week, Ronan!
Ronan is a 4-year-old, 76lbs, mixed breed, ray of absolute sunshine who was born right here at our shelter in March of 2022. He was adopted as a puppy and recently found his way back to us in a very unexpected and sad way.
We were contacted by animal control in Vermont where Ronan was found running as a stray. Apparently, his original family gave him away. Luckily, his microchip had our information still attached as a fail safe.
Ronan is now back with the people who loved him first, and honestly, we all absolutely adore this big guy. He gets along with other dogs, loves people, and has the kind of joyful personality that makes it very hard not to smile when he’s around. He is sweet, social, goofy, and large enough that when he loves you, you will be loved in a very enthusiastic, full contact, 76 lbs. way.
Ronan is looking for the right home this time, one where he can finally settle in, be cherished, and live out his best life as the big lovable legend he was clearly always meant to be. He is up to date on vaccinations and has been neutered.
The Heart of RI has adoption hours every Wednesday 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at 44 Worthington Road in Cranston.

NOTE: What’s going on in Rhode Island is not responsible for Ronan and we do not have further information on him. Please contact The Heart of RI directly for all questions.
Every Saturday we post “Dogs of the Week”, or a “Dog of the Week”- to help them find a forever home, so please keep checking back in to find yourself a new best friend.
