PROVIDENCE, R.I. — A fundraiser will be held tonight, Thursday, November 6, to support Dino DiFante, a beloved Federal Hill restaurant manager and chef who is recovering from a serious accident last month.

On October 10, police reported that DiFante, 47, lost control of his Vespa scooter on Smith Street after swerving to avoid a vehicle that pulled into his path. He was hospitalized and placed in a medically induced coma.

According to a GoFundMe page set up by his family, “Dino remains in the hospital under close supervision but has been deemed neurologically sound! The next step is an acute rehab facility, where Dino will stay and have access to PT, OT, and any other therapies he needs.”

The event will feature complimentary wine, hors d’oeuvre, pizza, salad, homemade pastas and other antipasti.

For every $3 donated, you will receive a raffle ticket eligible for multiple drawings.

Raffle prizes include: Riserva Wines, Steaks, Whiskey, Gift Cards to various Federal Hill establishments, Baked goods from Scialo Bakery, many more various fun surprises.

The event will take place at the restaurant he manages, Trattoria Appia, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased at the door for $35.
