Vehicle caught fire, causes major I-195 delays at RI/MA line

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Shortly after 11:30 AM, a vehicle caught fire near Exit 2C (US 6 East / US 1A / RI 114 / Pawtucket Ave / Seekonk) on the RI/MA state line in East Providence.

The fire blocked the center lane, right lane, and right shoulder.

The vehicle has since been removed, but delays remain. Expect slowdowns if you’re traveling through the area.
