PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Michael Douglas is coming to Providence this fall for a milestone moment in his career: his first-ever appearance at a fan convention, set for Rhode Island Comic Con 2026.
The legendary actor, known for iconic films including Wall Street, Fatal Attraction, Basic Instinct, is scheduled to appear Friday and Saturday during the convention, which runs November 6–8, 2026, at the Rhode Island Convention Center and Amica Mutual Pavilion.
Organizers say Douglas will be available for both photo opportunities and autograph sessions, making the appearance a rare chance for fans to meet one of Hollywood’s most celebrated stars in person. Rhode Island Comic Con has billed the booking as a historic moment, noting that Douglas has never previously appeared at a fan convention of this kind.
Douglas joins an already growing celebrity lineup for the 2026 event, which also includes returning fan favorite Henry Winkler and several other announced guests as organizers continue building this year’s roster.
Rhode Island Comic Con has become one of New England’s largest pop culture events, drawing thousands of fans annually to Providence for celebrity appearances, panels, cosplay, and collectibles.
