PROVIDENCE, R.I. — “No Kings” demonstrations are set to take place across Rhode Island this Saturday, with organizers planning rallies in Providence and North Kingstown as part of a broader nationwide protest.

Providence rally at State House

The largest gathering is expected at the Rhode Island State House from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Participants typically march through parts of the city before returning to the State House for speeches from political and community leaders.

North Kingstown event also planned

A second rally is scheduled in North Kingstown from 10:00 a.m. to noon outside 80 Boston Neck Road.

Part of nationwide demonstrations

The events are part of a larger coordinated effort happening across the country.

Organizers say the demonstrations are aimed at protesting policies tied to the Trump administration.

The last “No Kings” rally was held last October.
