WARWICK, R.I. — On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina closes.

The closure comes just months after the Tex-Mex restaurant chain filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in March, citing financial struggles and liquidity issues.

At the time of the filing, more than 70 underperforming locations across 24 states were marked for closure. The Warwick restaurant was not initially included on that list.

The Bald Hill Road location had long been a fixture in the local dining scene.
