Car was trapped under tractor trailer on I-95 N. near exit 37

A serious crash around noon today on I-95 North in Providence caused major traffic backups after a car became trapped under a tractor trailer just at Exit 37 (Broadway).

Emergency crews this afternoon worked to free the driver, and only one lane was open for a period of time, causing heavy delays in the area.

The scene has since been cleared and traffic is moving normally.
