Convicted child predator taken into custody by ICE in Cranston

CRANSTON, R.I. — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have arrested a 30-year-old Brazilian national living illegally in the U.S. with a criminal history that includes child sex crimes.

Andrew Da Silva was taken into custody in Cranston by ICE Boston. Authorities say Andrew Da Silva has been convicted of two counts of second degree child molestation sexual assault.

ICE said Da Silva is now facing deportation from the United States.
