PROVIDENCE, R.I. — A vehicle caught fire just before 7:00 a.m. on I-95 NB near exits 38A–38B (RI-146/RI-44/State Offices), causing major delays through Providence.
Traffic is backed up all the way to Jefferson Boulevard, and drivers are being urged to seek alternate routes if possible.
Emergency crews are on scene. Expect heavy congestion in the area.
