Copper is a 1½-year-old, medium-sized mixed breed with a big personality and an even bigger heart. When he first arrived, he needed guidance, but thanks to the dedication of the Heart of RI team and the help of trainer Eric Letendre, Copper has grown into a dog they are incredibly proud of.
At his core, Copper is sweet, affectionate, and loves being around people. Like many young dogs, he can get a little overexcited, but with structure, consistency, and redirection, he settles in beautifully. He already knows sit, paw, down, and even roll over, and he’s eager to keep learning.
Copper absolutely thrives around other dogs and would do best in a home with an active canine companion who loves to run, play, and help him continue to grow.
He is looking for an experienced, adult-only home that will continue the training and structure he’s become accustomed to. In return, you’ll gain a loyal, fun, and loving companion who is sure to win over everyone he meets.
