PAWTUCKET, R.I. — Pawtucket came alive on Saturday, July 5, with an incredible fireworks display that drew a big crowd to the Tidewater area. The celebration featured a wide variety of food trucks from the popular PVD Food Truck Events lineup, offering everything from grilled favorites to sweet treats and local specialties.

Families, couples, and groups of friends filled the open space as music played, kids danced, and the smell of fresh food filled the air. The warm summer night set the perfect backdrop for a festive evening, with people gathering early to grab their favorite bites and find a good spot to watch the show.

When the fireworks began, the crowd fell quiet before erupting into cheers. The display lit up the sky with a colorful mix of bursts and booms, reflecting off the nearby river and buildings, making for a picture-perfect moment.

It was a spectacular night in Pawtucket — one that brought the community together in celebration. But for many, there was still a bit of nostalgia in the air. As beautiful as the display was, a part of us couldn’t help but miss the tradition of fireworks over McCoy Stadium.
