Episode 2 of The Real Housewives of Rhode Island, titled “Ocean State of Mind,” brought even more drama as a new cast member entered the picture and tensions quickly escalated.
The episode introduced Rulla, the seventh Housewife, and her arrival immediately stirred conversation among the group. Much of the focus centered around rumors involving her husband and an alleged affair. While Rulla insisted the situation was being exaggerated or already handled, others in the group questioned whether the full truth was being told. The situation quickly created friction, especially between Rulla and Jo-Ellen, who was blamed for spreading the information.
At the same time, Liz revealed a major personal update as her stepdaughter is expecting a baby, making Liz a first-time grandmother. She made it clear she prefers not to be called grandma, instead choosing to go by “GG.” The episode also highlighted more of her background, including raising her husband’s daughters as her own.
Ashley’s storyline focused on the pressures at home, balancing family life while her husband, Jared, continues to focus heavily on work. Conversations with Jo-Ellen touched on the reality behind social media, with the idea that things may not always be as perfect as they appear online.
Meanwhile, Kelsey attempted to address the growing rumors within the group by organizing a gathering and introducing a game designed to bring secrets into the open. During the game, several personal topics came up, including relationship rumors, past situations and unexpected admissions. Kelsey also confirmed she is in another relationship, adding to earlier questions about her personal life.
The group later headed out together, but tensions followed them. Ongoing issues between Rulla and Jo-Ellen remained unresolved, with clear frustration on both sides. Even Rulla’s absence from part of the outing raised questions among the group.
By the end of the episode, multiple storylines are already colliding, including relationship drama, shifting friendships and lingering rumors. With just two episodes in, it’s clear the season is leaning heavily into conflict and personal revelations.
