WARWICK, R.I. — A 10-year-old boy in Warwick is bringing a message of kindness to the community through Warwick’s Curiosity Cubby, a neighborhood exchange located on Kenneth Avenue.
The young creator, Luke, introduced the concept, which includes the city’s first “Trinket Trade Box,” where people can leave and take small items, creating moments of connection in a fast-paced, digital world.
While the idea is straightforward, its purpose goes deeper by encouraging generosity, sparking curiosity and giving neighbors a chance to slow down and appreciate small acts of kindness.
Community members are invited to contribute something meaningful and discover something new in return.
He has also launched “Warwick’s Quack Shack,” a duck-themed exchange that adds a playful twist for kids and families. Together, the projects aim to bring people closer through shared experiences, even if they never meet.
The goal is to spread kindness, encourage sharing and create small moments of joy throughout the community.
The project has already drawn attention beyond the area, earning a certificate of special congressional recognition for its positive impact.
