PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Clementine Cocktail Bar has permanently closed after four years in downtown Providence.

The cocktail bar was located at 200 Washington St., across from Trinity Repertory Company.

David Cicilline, a former Providence mayor and U.S. representative, co-owned the bar with manager and co-owner Cristian Cantaragiu. Cicilline is now president and CEO of the Rhode Island Foundation.

Clementine announced the closure in a recent social media post. The team thanked everyone who visited over the years.

Customers stopped by for drinks before dinner, after shows at Trinity Rep or for a night out in downtown Providence.

While Clementine is closed, something new could be coming to the space.

The team told followers to keep an eye out in the coming weeks for an announcement about what comes next.
