MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — A Rhode Island man is now facing serious charges following a stabbing that left one person badly injured in South Carolina.
Police say Garry Everett Arnold Jr., 37, of Coventry was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service after being identified as the suspect in a stabbing that happened Wednesday night in Myrtle Beach.

Officers were called to a business along 3rd Avenue South around 10:10 p.m., where they found a victim suffering from serious injuries. First responders immediately began life-saving efforts at the scene before the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Authorities later tracked down Arnold, who is now charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature. He is being held without bail.
There’s still no word on the victim’s condition, and police say the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to reach out to Myrtle Beach Police.
