Driver taken into custody after suspected DUI crash into Garden City business

CRANSTON, R.I. — A man was taken into custody after a suspected DUI crash into a Garden City business.

The 42-year-old driver had just left a nearby restaurant when he drove directly into the front entrance of Feed the Cheeks, according to authorities.

Responding officers were seen on scene conducting a field sobriety test and questioning the driver following the crash.

Police said the impact caused minor structural damage to the front of the business.

The driver was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence. No injuries have been reported.
