The recognition highlights Sprout’s long life and the impact he has had as part of the rescue’s mission to care for elderly and special-needs dogs.
Vintage Pet Rescue, based in Rhode Island, focuses on saving senior dogs that are often overlooked in shelters due to age or medical needs. The organization provides hospice care, rehabilitation and permanent placement, giving older dogs a chance to live out their remaining years in comfort.
Sprout has become a familiar face through the rescue’s outreach efforts, helping bring attention to the importance of adopting senior animals and supporting rescue work.
Sprout, marked his birthday with a special Facebook Live celebration on March 24 at 6 p.m. The event will featured cake, gifts, and surprises, while also raising money for other rescue animals.
