The Tartan Army gathered in downtown Providence this afternoon for one last celebration before Scotland takes on Morocco tomorrow at 6 p.m. at Boston Stadium.

Over the past week, thousands of Scottish supporters have filled the streets of Providence with bagpipes, songs, kilts, and nonstop energy, making the city feel like a home away from home during the World Cup.

The celebration wasn’t just about soccer. The Tartan Army presented donations of $10,000 to Hasbro Children’s Hospital, $6,500 to the Rhode Island Highlanders Pipe Band, and $5,000 to Tartan Trek, a men’s mental health charity as a way of thanking Rhode Island for its hospitality.

Scotland will face Morocco tomorrow at 6 p.m. in Foxborough, M.A.. After that match, the Tartan Army will head to Miami, where Scotland will take on Brazil in its final Group C match next Wednesday.

No matter what happens on the field, it’s safe to say the Tartan Army has left a lasting impression on Providence.
