EAST GREENWICH, R.I. Rhode Island now has another place for fans of Chick-fil-A to grab their favorite menu items.

The fast-food chain officially opened its second location in the state on Thursday in East Greenwich, expanding its presence beyond the Bald Hill Road restaurant in Warwick. The new site is located at 225 Division Street, near the town line between East Greenwich and Warwick.

The restaurant introduces a new convenience for local customers. It is the first Chick-fil-A in Rhode Island to feature Mobile Thru service, a dedicated drive-thru lane for customers who order ahead through the Chick-fil-A app.

The East Greenwich restaurant is locally owned and operated by Mike Dacey, a lifelong resident of the town. Before joining Chick-fil-A, Dacey spent more than 20 years operating an insurance business. He is also active in the community as a youth sports coach and parent of two children enrolled in East Greenwich schools.

Company officials say the opening has generated around 110 new jobs for the area.

As part of the grand opening celebration, customers who arrived dressed in cow-themed clothing were rewarded with a complimentary entrée.
