CRANSTON, R.I. — A 33-year-old Cranston man has been taken into custody once again as investigators say he continued contact with a minor despite being released on bail in an earlier case.

Michael Gallo was arrested Friday at his home on a fugitive of justice warrant out of Massachusetts. Authorities say the latest arrest stems from allegations that he engaged in sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl after already being charged in a separate child enticement investigation.

Police say that case began in Somerset, Massachusetts, where Gallo was accused of sending explicit messages, photos, and videos to a 14-year-old through Snapchat while allegedly misrepresenting his age. He was initially arrested after arranging to meet the girl and later released on bail.

After examining his cellphone, investigators say they uncovered additional communications involving other juveniles, including a 15-year-old in Rhode Island. According to court records, the girl told investigators the two had been in contact since late 2024 and met multiple times, including an incident where she was picked up at a Warwick bus stop.

Rhode Island State Police had already arrested Gallo again last week on several charges, including multiple counts of third-degree sexual assault, along with charges tied to explicit material involving minors. He was released on bail with strict conditions, including no contact with minors.

Authorities say the new warrant from Massachusetts is based on allegations that Gallo violated those release conditions by continuing contact with the girl after his initial arrest.

Gallo was ordered held without bail following his latest court appearance and is expected to face proceedings in Massachusetts next week.
