PAWTUCKET, R.I. — Toy and game company Hasbro plans to move its corporate headquarters from Pawtucket to Boston by the end of 2026. The company confirmed the relocation in a recent filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Hasbro has signed a long-term sublease for about 265,000 square feet at 400 Summer Street in Boston’s Seaport District. The new space will serve as the company’s main headquarters for toys, board games, licensing, and other corporate operations.

The move marks a major change for the company, which has been based in Rhode Island for decades. About 700 full-time employees who currently work in Pawtucket are expected to transition to the Boston office by late 2026.

Rhode Island officials have expressed disappointment over the decision. The relocation ends a long-standing connection between Hasbro and the state, and leaders are now looking for ways to keep businesses and jobs in the region.

Hasbro says it will maintain ties to Rhode Island even after the headquarters move. The company plans to continue certain business activities and philanthropic efforts in the state.
