NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. — A longtime staple of North Providence’s dining and events scene is entering a new era following a change in ownership.

Pizza and Catering Gourmet has purchased the Charles Street property historically known as Lancellotta’s Banquet Restaurant. Owned by Louie and Luigi Lancellotta since 1996, the venue has served as a prominent location for weddings, celebrations, and community events.

The business has been closed for several months and will reopen after renovations are completed.

The location will continue to serve as a restaurant and banquet facility, though has not been revealed whether the new owners will keep the well-known Lancellotta’s name.
