Rhode Island hockey license plate available for pre-order

Rhode Island hockey fans can now show their love for the game with a new specialty license plate celebrating the Ocean State’s hockey history!

The Rhode Island Hockey Hall of Fame is accepting pre-orders for its new charity license plate, featuring a hockey goalie and the words “Rhode Island, Cradle of Hockey.”

Pictured in our second photo is former NHL player and Rhode Island Hockey Hall of Fame inductee Dave Capuano, a Cranston native who played for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Vancouver Canucks, Tampa Bay Lightning and San Jose Sharks, proudly holding up the new plate.

The plates cost $43.50, with $20 from each order going directly to the Rhode Island Hockey Hall of Fame to help preserve and celebrate the state’s hockey heritage.

At least 600 prepaid orders are required before the plates can go into production.
