WARWICK, R.I. — Build-A-Bear Workshop is set to open a new location at Warwick Mall, bringing the popular make-your-own stuffed animal experience to another Rhode Island shopping destination. According to the Warwick Mall directory, the retailer will be located between Pink and Perfurmania on the Jordan’s Furniture side of the mall. The store is scheduled to open on May 27 at 10 a.m.

The company is known for its interactive experience that allows customers to create personalized stuffed animals by selecting a plush character, adding stuffing and accessories, and participating in the brand’s signature heart ceremony. The retailer also offers themed collections, clothing and accessories aimed at children and collectors alike.

Build-A-Bear already operates a Rhode Island location at Providence Place, which first opened in 2005. The company has continued expanding its presence through shopping centers and entertainment destinations across the country.

According to Warwick Mall, guests attending the grand opening will be able to take part in a ribbon-cutting celebration featuring Bearemy, Build-A-Bear’s mascot. The mall also said the first customer in line will receive a free giant surprise, while the first 25 guests will receive a free mini surprise.

Build-A-Bear Workshop was founded in 1997 and became known for giving customers a hands-on experience where they can create and personalize their own stuffed animals. The company has since expanded to locations around the world.
