Helena’s short life has been incredibly difficult.
She and her brother, Jameson, were found abandoned on the side of the road starving, emaciated, and in heartbreaking condition. Helena was the stronger of the two, and we truly believe she helped her brother survive.
During her veterinary exam, staff discovered a BB lodged in her leg. Someone had actually shot this tiny puppy while she was already fighting to survive. Despite everything she’s endured, Helena hasn’t let it change her sweet spirit.
At around 5 months old, Helena is a mixed breed who is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, and gaining the weight she needs. She’s affectionate, confident, and loves everyone she meets. Her beautiful chestnut coat is finally starting to shine, just like her personality.
